Watch: Riot police move in as Liverpool and Sevilla fans brawl before EL final
Liverpool and Sevilla fans brawled with one another in ugly scenes before tonight’s Europa League final.
Basel’s St Jakob Park holds just 30,000 people and thousands of ticketless Liverpool fans were expected to travel to Switzerland for the final.
Despite receiving
identical allocations, St Jakob Park – at least to the naked eye – appeared to be dominated by Liverpool fans.
It means that there are some sections of the stadium that the two sets of fans are sharing without police segregation and there were some unsavoury scenes before the match as fans from each side clashed.
