A source revealed that the lecturer was shot several times by the gunmen.
Until his death, Eebee was a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yeghe community, in Gokana local government area of the state.
His death comes just hours after the Rivers state police command declared ex-militant, Solomon Ndigbara wanted.
Ndigbara hails from the same home town with the Eebee
Eebee on the March 11, wrote a petition to the APC about the antecedents of Solomon Ndigbara, which he copied the Nigerian Army, the Police and other security agencies.
He had consistently accused Ndigbara of committing heinous crimes in Yeghe community and some believe his death may not be unconnected to this reason.
The Rivers state police command has confirmed the incident.
