Arsenal have confirmed that Alexis Sanchez will be taking Tomas Rosicky’s number seven shirt for the forthcoming season.
It was announced on the final day of the campaign that Rosicky would be ending his ten year stay in north London, with the Czech’s contract expiring in the summer.
This meant that the Gunners’ famous number seven shirt
had become vacant and there had been much speculation over who would be taking it.
Many believed Granit Xhaka may be about to claim it but, on Arsenal’s official website, Sanchez appears next to the number.

Arsenal also uploaded this picture of the forward in the shirt…

The club officially launched their home kit for the 2016/17 season and this is where the giant hint appeared.
