In what is perhaps the most damning indictment of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump to date, North Korean state media has hailed him as a ‘wise
politician’ who could be good for the country.
Trump said recently that he would be willing to meet with North Korea’s cheese-loving dictator, Kim Jong-un, and has proposed the withdrawal of American troops from South Korea.
In an editorial in DPRK Today, Trump was called a ‘far-sighted presidential candidate’ and though the editorial is not official policy, experts say it likely reflects Pyongyang’s opinion.
Writer Han Yong-mook said that Trump’s policy on US troops stationed abroad would lead to the withdrawal of troops from South Korea, a long-held North Korean wish.
Han added that voters should reject ‘dull Hillary’.
