Pep Guardiola is believed to be a huge admirer of Walker, making the 27-year-old one of his priority targets ahead of the summer window.
Walker has become one of the stand-out players for Spurs and
England since moving to White Hart Lane in 2009.
The defender now looks set to end his stay at Tottenham, opting to join Guardiola’s Man City in a deal that will earn him around £100,000-a-week.
Walker emerged as a target for Chelsea but the Daily Star say his decision to join City stems from his desire to be closer to his family, who live in Sheffield.
As well as targeting Walker, City are also being linked with Premier League stars Virgil van Dijk and Alexis Sanchez.
