Manchester United have confirmed news of Marcus Rashford signing a new four-year contract with the club.
The 18-year-old has enjoyed a sensational breakthrough year in 2016, scoring eight goals for United’s senior side to put himself firmly in the running to make the England squad
for Euro 2016.
This completes a great few days for Rashford, who scored on his debut for the Three Lions, and his future at Old Trafford now looks secure.
‘I am delighted to have signed a new contract,’ he told the club’s official website.
‘I have always been a Manchester United fan, so to be playing in the first team really is a dream come true.
‘I am grateful for having the chance to prove myself. To be able to play football at the biggest club in the world means everything to me and my family.’
According to The Sun, Rashford’s new deal will now see him earn £20,000 a week, plus bonuses.
